Incoming 1st –5th graders are welcome
Jaguar Summer Camp is a sports and fine arts camp for boys and girls entering grades 1– 5. Children will experience a variety of activities that are designed to be fun, interactive, academic and physical, to help keep their minds and bodies in shape. Your child is certain to have a BLAST with their peers in a fun, safe, positive environment. Camps are Monday – Thursday. There will be no camp on Fridays.

Before and After Care. Offered as a convenience for parents who need to drop campers off before 9:00 AM and after 3:00 PM. Before and after care will be held in the gymnasium under the supervision of certified teachers.
Daily activities for campers. Activities will change weekly. Certified teachers will lead groups that are determined by age throughout the course of the day. Campers will take part in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, science, cooking, computers, games, music, and art. Sports. Campers will have access to our indoor gymnasium as well as our outdoor fields and courts. Children will stay fit and have fun while participating in activities led by our certified teachers. Some of the games that the children will enjoy are kickball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, floor hockey, badminton, tag, four square, soccer, dodge ball, and bombardment, to name a few. Science. Explore different areas of the science world with hands on activities that will be sure to enhance your brain power. |
Art Campers will use a variety of media during their daily art period. Gorrie is lucky to have both a clay and glass kiln on site. So campers will work with clay and glass designing, molding, cutting, firing and painting their individual creations. Other media that will be used are paper mache, watercolors, pastels, paper and print making, along with our art teachers other favorites.
Computers and Games Campers will enhance their computer skills while playing educational games on kid friendly websites. The computers on Gorrie’s campus are filtered and monitored by Hillsborough County, so campers will enjoy exploring academic websites in a safe manner. Board games, cards and crafts will also be made available. Cooking Children will use math and science skills to measure and bake their favorite treats. Campers will enjoy the tasty food as part of their daily snack. Performing Arts Discover your talent for creating and playing self made instruments and acting in skits. |
| Pump Up Your Brain Power
Gorrie teachers will be hosting camps to refresh incoming 1st – 5th graders in academic skills. The camps will be from 9 AM – 11 AM, Monday – Thursday. Teachers will work with students on math, reading and writing skills. 2010 Dates 2010 Cost Sentence Fluency Organizing Writing |
