About Us

About the John B. Gorrie Elementary School Foundation.

The Foundation was established to raise funds to address immediate and long term goals of Gorrie students and faculty, which can not be met utilizing the budget provided by the school Board of Hillsborough County. The Foundation supports numerous academic, enrichment, technology, after-school, and arts programs for the students of Gorrie Elementary. These programs have aided our students and our school community in consistently achieving honors and recognitions, including: The National Blue Ribbon Award as a School of Excellence, The Golden School Award, The Five Star School award for community involvement, State of Florida Grade A school designation, and Federal AYP designation.

The Gorrie Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and any donation is tax deductible.
